Common Questions
Parking
Parking is available on the west and south sides of our buildings. There are four handicap spots available near the entrances.
Entrance
Anglican Worship
If you're new to Anglican worship, you can expect to hear Scripture read and preached, to be guided in prayer, and to receive Communion if you desire. At times, you will see some people making certain gestures like the sign of the cross, bowing, or kneeling during prayer. Keep in mind that there is no expectation for you to mimic these actions unless you find them meaningful. Overall, our hope is that, as you take a closer look, you would discover deep significance behind the symbols and ritual; as you listen more attentively, you would hear an unexpected richness in the prayers; and as you fully engage in worship, you would encounter the living God.
Holy Communion
All baptized followers of Jesus are welcome to receive communion regardless of age or denomination. To receive, cup your hand for the bread. Either eat the bread immediately and then drink the wine from the chalice, or hold the bread in your hands for the minister to take, dip into the wine, and place on your tongue. To receive a blessing instead, cross your arms over your chest and the priest will bless you. If you wish to receive the bread only, cross your arms over your chest after you receive the bread until the chalice passes. If you are unable to come forward, notify an usher and communion will be brought to your seat.
Nursery
Nursery (0-3 years) is offered during the Formation Hour and services each Sunday. Children engage in Montessori style play while being introduced to scripture and the practices of the Church.
There is a mother's room available for nursing mothers located inside the Infant Nursery. Please ask any of our trained nursery staff or volunteers for assistance.
Children are welcome throughout the entirety of the service but if your child needs a respite from the service at any point, there is a comfort room available at the back of the Nave off the Narthex. The room is equipped with a window for continued viewing and audio speakers to hear the service. You will find an usher at the back of the Nave during the service if you need assistance.
Children's Liturgy of the Word
After the Gospel reading in the service, the children are invited to the front of the nave to receive a prayer of blessing before leaving for a short Bible study facilitated by a trained adult leader and assistant. They return to service before Communion.
