
The deeper we travel into the darkness of Lent, the brighter the light of Easter will shine into our hearts. Indeed, the brightness can be so intense that it will even take a while for our eyes to adjust. New creation is here, but it’s a reality we must acclimate to.
When the resurrected Jesus appeared to those who loved him, very few immediately recognized him. Beholding new creation in the flesh is a shock to our senses. But it’s what we were made for. As the Apostle Paul declares, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation! The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
